Ben’s Bar Mitzvah at Congregation Etz Chaim in Lombard

kids dancing in conga line at Bar Mitzvah

Starting off our 2020 year of events we were honored to be asked by Ben’s family to provide our DJ and entertainment services for Ben’s Bar Mitzvah at Congregation Etz Chaim in Lombard, IL. Paul Michaels Events has had a long history with the family since we’ve already performed at two of his brother’s Bar Mitzvahs in the past!

To rock this party with Ben, we sent Paul Michaels as the Emcee, DJ Alex, and dancers Jamie and Caleb. Right after services ended, everyone started filing into the synagogue’s social hall for the party to begin!

We started playing some games with the kids (and a few select adults who wanted to join in) prior to really kicking the afternoon off! Once everyone was ready, we had a grand entrance for Ben (where he entered to ‘September’ by Earth, Wind, and Fire), followed by a few quick speeches by Ben’s family, and then everyone enjoyed a great lunch buffet. After lunch ended, we got right back at it with more games, and ‘follow-me’ dances for the kids and adults (where we show everyone how to do the dance) and partied with these guys all afternoon!

Mazel Tov Ben!! Thank you again to your whole family for letting us celebrate with you!

Will’s Bar Mitzvah at the Hyatt Lodge at McDonald’s Campus

Repeat clients are our favorite!

Our team recently was able to rock yet another Mitzvah for this family! Will and his family and friends rocked with us all afternoon long at the Hyatt Lodge at the McDonald’s Campus in Oakbrook, IL! We brought out our Mitzvah team which had multiple dance motivators (Jeffrey and Jamie) as well as a dedicated DJ (DJ Terry) and our emcee, Paul. It is such an honor for us to get ‘the call’ when a past client books a venue and knows who they are going to be hiring for their entertainment!

Will and his family belong to Congregation Etz Chaim in Lombard, IL, where we work with synagogue members quite often in helping plan their son or daughter’s big day!

When people are looking for awesome Bar or Bat Mitzvah entertainment in the Chicago suburbs, we love to help them out and turn their son/daughter’s dream party into reality!

Check out how much fun the party was in the pictures below!

Congregation Etz Chaim High Holiday Hustle 5K Run/Walk

DJ Paul Michaels at the Etz Chaim High Holiday Hustle 5K Philanthropic Event

Last weekend Paul Michaels Events was an official sponsor for the Congregation Etz Chaim High Holiday Hustle 5K Run/Walk in Lombard for the 2nd year in a row.

This wonderful event was established to raise money for the Robert Scott Samuels Memorial Scholarship Fund which offers children the opportunity to go to summer camp.

Before the run, Yoga by Degrees offered a free 20 minute yoga session for all the runners to get them stretched out and get the blood flowing.

The run started at 8am for the runners, with the the 1 mile stroll/walk starting right afterwards. There was also a “Kids Dash” for 100ft to make sure the event was inclusive of all ages (in this case, 7 and under). We had many winners of awards for all the wonderful participants.

Paul Michaels Events loves to give back to the community as philanthropy, and the Etz Chaim Family/Community has definitely supported us over the years.

In addition to being sponsored by Paul Michaels Events, the run/walk had many other sponsors including: UPS, Robert Honig Attorney at Law, Schmacon, Chesed v’Emet, and Nothing Bundt Cakes.

If you’re looking for an excellent choice for a Chicago Bar or Bat Mitzvah DJ and Entertainment, contact us today to get a quote. We’re also a top rated suburban Bar or Bat Mitzvah DJ company, serving cities such as Oak Brook, Downers Grove, Naperville, and more.

Gillian’s Bat Mitzvah

Gillian's Bat Mitzvah Group Photo

To kick the 2016 season off, my awesome team (consisting of my choreographer, Kevin, and the newest DJ to join the team, Luis) were able to help Gillian celebrate her Chicagoland Bat Mitzvah at the William Tell Hotel in Countryside, IL. Gillian had her Bat Mitzvah Ceremony at Congregation Etz Chaim in Lombard, IL.

One of the things I pride myself on is working to get to know every client, and in this case I wanted to get to know Gillian instead of her parents, since after all, this is her day that we were all celebrating. Throughout this process I was able to customize our services to make them exactly what Gillian wanted, which is the biggest goal at the end of the day. I want to make sure that the guest of honor remembers this day for the rest of their life (I know that I definitely remember my Bat Mitzvah from when I was 13). During the planning process for Gillian’s Bat Mitzvah, the photographer her parent’s had chosen became unreachable, so just in the nick of time I was able to reach out to my extensive network of event professionals and helped her family find and book Narens Photography who did a great job capturing the entire day!

We had a blast playing games with all the kids and young adults, and dancing with everyone (adults included). In addition to DJ services, we were also able to provide Bat Mitzvah Photobooth services for Gillian. The photobooth was running for the entire party and since the family had opted for a package that included a memory book, Gillian got to walk away with a memory book she’ll be able to keep forever which includes pictures from all her family and friends with personal notes for Gillian.

Thanks Gillian (and family) for having myself and my team!
