Catherine and Drew’s Wedding at Pinstripes in Streeterville Downtown Chicago

Only two weeks since our last wedding at Pinstripes in Streeterville, and we’re back again to celebrate Catherine and Drew’s Wedding! Catherine and Drew came to us almost a year before their wedding (one week short of a year) as a referral from the venue due to our great track record there. We talked with Catherine and Drew about what they were looking for (and what they didn’t want for their wedding) and we knew we’d be able to provide them a perfect evening to be able to celebrate with their family and closest friends.

We set the room uplighting to a light blue/cyan color which really added some color to the room, matching with the couple’s color scheme. After cocktail hour, we really kicked it into high gear and set the tone for the night with their bridal party introductions. Based on the responses (physical, verbal, etc) from the couple’s guests, we were able to start to get a feel for the vibe that we thought would keep everyone on the dance floor throughout the party. Something that stood out about Catherine and Drew is how they barely provided any song requests before their wedding. This isn’t a bad thing at all. When we confirmed this with them during our final planning meeting, they made it clear that they only cared about a few songs, and wanted us to do what we do best! We love them for that comment!

When the dance floor opened, DJ Paul Michaels and Assistant Evan rocked with Catherine and Drew and their guests all night!

Deborah and Kristian’s Wedding at Pinstripes in Downtown Chicago

Recently we were able to work at one of our preferred venues downtown Chicago for Deborah and Kristian’s wedding at Pinstripes in Downtown Chicago. We started with the couple’s wedding ceremony, officiated by the groom’s father, and then we moved into the cocktail hour portion of the evening. This was held at a beautiful bar right next to the Chicago River Canal. After cocktail hour, the couple along with their friends and family moved back into the reception hall for dinner. That is where and when we got the dancing started!

Pinstripes is uniquely situated in the historic River East Arts Center. In 2015, it was renovated and turned into what is now Pinstripes.  We love this place as a wedding venue, and since it isn’t your typical wedding venue, it makes for a great change of pace compared to our usual venues.  After all, how many wedding venues have bowling and bocce ball available? It is awesome.

Deborah and Kristian seemed to be having a blast rocking out with their family and friends. Check out some of the pictures below!

If you’d like to have an event, wedding, reception, or any other type of party at Pinstripes, feel free to reach out to us here at Paul Michaels Events and we’d be glad to help.

Jacob’s Bar Mitzvah

Just recently my team and I (Paul) were able to work with the Rabbi of Congregation Etz Chaim in Lombard to provide DJ and Entertainment Services for her son’s Bar Mitzvah at Pinstripes in Oakbrook, IL.   This was a very special Bar Mitzvah for me to work since I’ve known the Rabbi ever since she came to begin working at Congregation Etz Chaim, and I’ve known Jacob since he was born.

We had a blast playing games with the teens such as huggy bear, a hula hoop contest, musical chairs, the limbo, and the newspaper game which kept everyone up and on the dance floor the entire time. Jacob and his family invited a really great crowd who kept us busy dancing the entire afternoon showing everyone (adults included) some new dances. We also had a video montage for Jacob which showed pictures of him, his family, and his friends throughout his life.
