Wondering how to book your Chicago wedding DJ? We’ve made the process simple, personal, and stress-free — here’s what it looks like:
What's the process look like from here?
Great question!
• You reach out via email or phone so we can check availability for your date and match you with one of our amazing DJs.
• We’ll schedule a quick chat — over the phone, video call, or in person (if you’re in Chicago!) — to walk through your event details, our services, and confirmed pricing.
• After that, we hold your date for 1 week while you decide. No pressure, no retainer needed (yet).
• When you’re ready to book, we’ll send you a digital contract for you and your fiancé(e) to sign.
• You submit your 50% non-refundable retainer (we accept checks, credit card, Zelle, or QuickPay).
• Then we celebrate — and begin planning an epic wedding together.

What happens between signing the contract and our wedding day?
Once you’re booked, we make sure everything stays on track — so you can enjoy the planning process without stress.
• We’ll kick things off with an initial planning meeting to go over your timeline, forms, and how to use our online music request system (don’t worry, we guide you through it).
• You’ll get a personalized login where you can update your timeline, requests, and music choices anytime you’d like — from any device.
• About two months before your wedding, we’ll reach out to schedule a final planning meeting to lock in every last detail.

We’re with you from start to finish to make sure your day is smooth, personal, and absolutely unforgettable.
Our venue requires that vendors have insurance. Do you carry it?
Absolutely — and we’re happy to provide proof of insurance directly to your wedding venue or list them as an additional insured if needed.
We carry a $2 million liability insurance policy, which meets (and often exceeds) venue requirements. Even if your venue doesn’t require it, hiring an insured wedding DJ is just smart — it protects you, your venue, and your guests.

Do we have to pick all the music for our wedding?
Have to? Definitely not.
We give you the option to request up to 100 songs in advance — but don’t worry, we’re not expecting homework. With the average song running about 3 minutes, that’s already 5 hours of music… and your night will fly by!
Our online music planner lets you organize requests into three categories:
• Songs We’d LOVE to Hear
• Songs We’d LIKE to Hear
• DO NOT PLAY (yes, we take those just as seriously!)
Some couples fill out the whole list. Others just pick a few must-plays. Either way, we’ve got you covered. Our DJs are experienced, crowd-aware professionals — we’ll fill in the rest with the right music at the right time to keep your dance floor going strong.
Do we need to pay extra for setup or teardown time?
In almost all cases, no — setup and teardown time is included in your package.
We’ll let you know how much time we’ll need based on your venue and the amount of equipment we’re bringing. We typically overestimate our arrival time because we’d always rather be early and ready than cutting it close.
The only time additional fees may apply is in extreme cases — like if your venue requires us to set up 8+ hours early due to scheduling restrictions or access limitations. If that’s the case, we’ll talk it through with you well in advance so there are no surprises.
Are there any hidden fees or surprise charges?
No hidden fees here — we’re all about transparency.
Here’s what to expect:
No sales tax on DJ services (since they’re considered non-tangible in Illinois).
Travel fees apply for venues more than 40 miles from downtown Chicago — we’ll calculate and include this in your quote upfront.
Parking fees only apply if your venue doesn’t provide free vendor parking.
Stair fees may apply for non-ADA-compliant venues with no elevator or ramp access (this is rare, but we’ll let you know if it comes up).
3% credit card fee — but we also accept Zelle, QuickPay, checks, or cash with no processing fees.
Everything is spelled out clearly before you sign — so you know exactly what you’re getting and what it’ll cost.
I have a destination wedding — do you travel?
Absolutely! We love traveling for weddings and have experience providing destination wedding DJ services across the U.S. and beyond.
Pricing for destination weddings is customized based on the location, travel needs, and equipment logistics — just reach out and we’ll create a personalized quote for your event.
