Great Wedding DJ. In addition to providing music, Paul helped with a lot of the organization for our wedding (as we didn't have a designated organizer). We also had a lot of unusual (for Chicago, anyway) song requests in the form of 80s and 90s Cantopop, which he was able to incorporate into our setlist. Highly recommended.

We worked with Paul for our wedding last month and he was great! We met multiple times before the wedding to iron out what music we want throughout the day/night, how the timeline would look, and lots of little details--he was very organized. His company uses a portal that helps keep all files in one place to easily access our contract, day-of timeline, information on the wedding party, and our music selection. He was super helpful and provided solutions when we ran into tech issues at the venue. He did a great job at moving things along throughout the night and we had a great time on the dance floor! Paul DJs, but he also has other DJs that work at his company. At our wedding we had Paul and one of his newer employees--the second guy was a bit less experienced, but everything went well overall. Also their setup looked good and was customizable. Overall he was incredibly organized, professional, and helped us have a great day! I would absolutely recommend working with him!

Incredibly professional, attentive to crucial details, and well organized. The price seemed quite reasonable for the service level provided. I would absolutely work with and book him in the future!

My husband and I had a great experience working with Paul. He was very organized and helpful in helping us plan our special day. He was also very patient, as my husband and I took time to make decisions. Our DJ Shannon was wonderful in executing all of the music and entertainment for our ceremony and reception. Paul and Luis worked our wedding a few weeks ago and I can’t say enough about them. The music was great, everyone had a great time, and they handled all our last minute changes like they were nothing. Our wedding was bilingual so we were worried about finding a way to ensure everyone had a great time but Paul and Luis were able to find the perfect balance of Spanish and English. The ceremony and the reception were seamless and Paul and Luis were a big reason why. They were also a huge help throughout our entire planning process, and worked really well with all our vendors. We highly recommend them!

We worked with Paul for our wedding last month and he was great! We met multiple times before the wedding to iron out what music we want throughout the day/night, how the timeline would look, and lots of little details--he was very organized. His company uses a portal that helps keep all files in one place to easily access our contract, day-of timeline, information on the wedding party, and our music selection. He was super helpful and provided solutions when we ran into tech issues at the venue. He did a great job at moving things along throughout the night and we had a great time on the dance floor! Paul DJs, but he also has other DJs that work at his company. At our wedding we had Paul and one of his newer employees--the second guy was a bit less experienced, but everything went well overall. Also their setup looked good and was customizable. Overall he was incredibly organized, professional, and helped us have a great day! I would absolutely recommend working with him!

Paul was absolutely amazing in terms of organization. There were plenty of tools for us to use during our planning, and we had multiple meetings to ensure both us and Paul were on the same page. Without him, our wedding would not be able to run so smoothly! Special thanks to Shannon who DJ'd our wedding and the amazing job that he did. DJ Paul Michaels was incredibly organized and thoughtful with planning our event and offered a variety of services beyond music (lighting, photobooth, etc). The plan for our wedding was very personalized to fit our venues, guests and tastes. Our DJ, Brian, was PHENOMENAL! The dance floor was full the entire night and many guests complimented the music choices. Beyond that though, Brian kept the reception on track with an upbeat, professional attitude and did everything possible to ensure my husband and I could relax, enjoy the reception and dance!

Both checked in with us numerous times, thoughtfully ordered drinks for not only us, but our parents and bridal party, and worked around changes to the schedule that came up last minute. Due to covid, our wedding plans changed many times, Paul was patient and understanding as we figured out our small, family only wedding. Our wedding was 2.5 hrs outside of Chicago, he accommodated. Our wedding was delayed due to Covid, he accommodated. Our wedding was unconventional, unfamiliar to Paul and his crew, required flexibility, didn't come with a wedding planner nor a coordinator, yet he again accommodated each and every circumstance during our planning process and throughout the day of. See, when you find someone such as Paul Michaels and his company to entertain your event you don't just find a DJ company, their equipment, and some burnout with a stereotypical industry name mashing buttons behind a table. You find a friend, someone who is personally invested in your day and hyper critical to details in order to assure complete satisfaction. You find what is and should be recognized as a differentiation between the "good" and the "best". From all of what Paul and his company did with their endless attention to detail, their professionalism and approach to criteria inside and outside the industry, and the building of a personal relationship left us with an individualized experience of memories and entertainment that ourselves and our guests will cherish for a lifetime.

I hired Paul Michaels Events for Joliet Central's Homecoming Dance the past two years. They run a very professional business, are detail oriented and provide top notch DJ services. The students enjoyed their production as well. There was a huge increase in dance ticket sales from year to year after using Paul Michaels. I can’t compliment Paul enough on the amazing job he and his assistant did with the music at our wedding. We didn’t give him many song requests prior to the big day, so he walked around during dinner and asked the guests what they wanted to hear! He got on the dance floor with us and taught us a line dance, and he even texted me after the wedding when he found a guest’s ring in the bathroom that had been left behind! Kudos to Paul Michaels Events and DJ Miguel for helping us have a wonderful surprise 40th birthday party for my daughter in downtown Chicago last weekend! Paul (owner of Paul Michaels Events) exceeded all of our expectations in assisting to make this event extra special.

Living out of state & trying to plan in another state was extra challenging for us, however Paul went above and beyond, responding to phone calls immediately, answering emails within minutes, and addressing any questions and concerns efficiently...He even made a trip to the venue to meet with the manager, look at options, and take pictures to send, knowing we could not do so from far away...We so greatly appreciated this!

DJ Miguel arrived early & was prepared to start ahead ofscheduled time...He was very organized, courteous and accomodating to our requests... Music was great, and everyone had an awesome time!
