In August, DJ Terry was able to take our Chicago based Dj services to help Agata and Rui celebrate their wedding at the beautiful Redfield Estate in Glenview, IL.

The bride, being Polish was able to bring a lot of her family members from Poland, while the groom (Rui) was able to have a lot of his family come in from China. We’ve done a lot of mixed culture marriages in the past and we know how lucky this couple is to be able to have so many family members fly in for their wedding. It was a culture clash that just felt right.  Our favorite moment was during the wedding toasts when each speech utilized a translator for both polish and mandarin, so every speech was done in 3 languages (English, Polish, Mandarin).  It was quite impressive, and much appreciated for the visiting guests.

The weather was perfect on this day which took place entirely outdoors at the Redfield Estate.  The ceremony took place next to the mansion, and then after just a short walk down the path, dinner and dancing happened in the pavilion.  We were treated to many Chinese and Polish traditions throughout the night.

We had the great privilege to be able to watch a very untraditional video dedicated to the bride and groom made entirely of stop-motion sand art. When the couple said they wanted to be able to show a video that was made for them by a family member, we of course said we’d be able to handle this in terms of providing, testing, and setting up a screen and video projector for this special presentation.

Check out the pictures below where it looks like Agata and Rui got everything they wanted and more from DJ Terry and Paul Michaels Events, and left as happy as could be!
