Nestled in the charming village of Streamwood, The Seville set the perfect stage for a night filled with joy, love, and unforgettable memories. The evening began with a touching video presentation that chronicled Katie and Ethan’s journey together, culminating in their heartfelt vows. As the room filled with the sweet sentiments shared by the couple, anticipation built for the moments that would follow.

A Night to Remember
Once the emotional opening concluded, DJ Evan set the tone for a night of celebration, inviting Katie and Ethan to the dance floor for their first dance as a married couple. All eyes were on the beautifully happy pair, and there was scarcely a dry eye in the house. Guests then delighted in a sumptuous three-course meal catered by The Seville, a venue renowned for its exceptional dining experience. Laughter and conversation flowed freely as loved ones gathered, united in their happiness for Katie and Ethan.

An Energetic Celebration
Following dinner, the energy in the room skyrocketed as the bridal party made a spirited entrance to the iconic anthem, “This Is How We Do It.” Their introduction set the stage for a series of heartfelt speeches, where close friends shared poignant and humorous insights about the newlyweds. With the formalities beautifully executed, it was time to let the celebrations lift off. Katie and Ethan, surrounded by their enthusiastic guests, returned to the dance floor. DJ Evan expertly curated a dynamic mix, transitioning seamlessly from timeless classics to contemporary hits, and even some beloved old-school hip hop tracks. The dance floor was alive and energetic, filled with a joy that was truly infectious.

DJ Evan from Paul Michaels Events DJ Company had every guest moving to the beat, showcasing his skillful ability to read the room and keep the energy alive. Hits from various decades and genres captivated dancers of all ages, creating an inclusive and welcoming atmosphere. As the night approached its closing, the dance floor was as lively as ever. Michele & Joe’s Vivacious Wedding Reception at Chicago History Museum in Chicago’s Lincoln Park Neighborhood

Bride with friends posing at photo booth at Chicago History Museum with music provided by Paul Michaels Events

When it comes to hosting events, few venues can match the grandeur of the Chicago History Museum. This iconic location set the stage for Joe and Michele’s wedding reception, a night of enchanting music and lively celebration, expertly curated by Paul Michaels Events. As a leading name in Chicago wedding entertainment scene, we strive to ensure that each event we handle not only meets but exceeds our clients’ expectations. Joe and Michele’s spectacular wedding reception at the Chicago History Museum was a testament to our commitment to excellence.

From the moment guests arrived at the beautifully lit Chicago History Museum, it was clear that this was going to be an event to remember. Uplighting adorned the venue, casting a magical glow over the entire room and highlighting the elegance of the historic space. The two powerhouse subwoofers, carefully set up by our team, ensured that the music would be as vibrant and compelling as the love story being celebrated. This perfect synergy of light and sound created an ambiance that was both sophisticated and inviting.

The energy at Joe and Michele’s reception was palpable from the moment guests stepped off the party bus. This vivacious mood carried through grand entrances, setting a thrilling tone for the rest of the evening. As guests settled in for a delectable dinner, they were treated a live performance by John, the groom’s brother and best man. His rendition of Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Simple Man” for the mother-son dance was a beautiful tribute and an emotionally charged highlight of the night.

After a touching performance, the spotlight turned to Joe and Michele. Their first dance, set to Zac Brown Band’s “Loving You Easy,” was a tender moment that encapsulated the joy and devotion shared between them. As they gracefully danced, it wasn’t long before guests were inspired to join in, filling the floor with laughter, love, and plenty of moves. DJ Evan expertly guided the musical journey of the evening. With an innate ability to read the crowd, DJ Evan kept energies high and feet moving. By seamlessly blending an array of tunes that catered to everyone’s taste, guests couldn’t resist the call of the dance floor. As the night drew to a close, the celebration reached its pinnacle with a packed dance floor. The entire room erupted in song as guests passionately sang along to Taylor Swift’s “Love Story.” This final encore was the perfect culmination of a night filled with joy, love, and unforgettable memories.

Events like Joe and Michele’s wedding are why we are committed to delivering extraordinary experiences. Our success lies not only in our technical expertise but in our ability to connect with clients and understand their vision. Naz & John’s Blooming Wedding at Garfield Park Conservatory in East Garfield Park, Chicago

Bride and groom smiling at each other at Garfield Park Conservatory with music by one of Chicago's prime wedding DJs, Paul Michaels Events

There’s something undeniably enchanting about a wedding that blends the elements of a destination celebration with the vibrant energy of a city like Chicago. We at Paul Michaels Events recently had the honor of being part of just such an event, as we celebrated the love of Naz and John. Despite being from the East Coast, this couple chose the Windy City to tie the knot, inviting their family and friends to share in a weekend filled with laughter, memories, and unforgettable moments.

It’s easy to understand why the couple chose the Garfield Park Conservatory to host their celebration. One look around at the lush greenery that fills the venue and just about anyone would fall in love! The ceremony took place in the Palm House, located just beyond entryway of the conservatory. While we won’t be sharing photos of this portion of the evening due to the couple’s request for an unplugged ceremony, one can picture the beauty of this moment. Surrounded by cascading palms and the natural artistry of the venue, Naz and John exchanged vows in an intimate setting that highlighted the personal nature of their union.

Following the ceremony, guests transitioned to the Show House for a delightful cocktail hour. As guests mingled and shared in the joy of the newlyweds, all the wedding vendors, including our team from Paul Michaels Events, diligently prepared the stunning Horticulture Hall for the upcoming reception.

The reception itself was nothing short of spectacular. Given that Naz and John met on the dance floor, it was no surprise that their wedding reception turned into a lively, dance-filled celebration. The couple kicked off the festivities with a jaw-dropping choreographed entrance followed by their romantic first dance to “Kiss Me” by Sixpence None The Richer. The evening continued on with planned dance performances, injecting the night with a joyful energy and diverse cultural flair. One of the standout performances was a Bollywood dance arranged by Naz’s college friends, which proved to be a testament to the couple’s shared love for dancing and cultural richness.

As the night unfolded, DJ Evan kept the dance floor packed, skillfully navigating the night’s playlist to keep spirits high and guests moving, even as a Chicago snowstorm started outside. The celebration unfolded seamlessly from the first dance to the last song, thanks to our commitment to creating unforgettable experiences.

We at Paul Michaels Events would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Naz, John, and their families and friends. It’s always a profound honor to be chosen to celebrate such intimate, life-changing moments. Chicago welcomed this East Coast duo with open arms, and we are overjoyed to have been part of their remarkable day!

Brooke & Michael’s Charming Wedding at The Lytle Auditorium in Downers Grove, Illinois

People on the dance floor at The Lytle Auditorium with music by the best Chicagoland DJ, Paul Michaels Events

The autumn portion of wedding season is a truly magical time, particularly as late October whispers its way into the atmosphere with crisp air and vibrant fall hues. Recently, Paul Michaels Events had the pleasure of bringing sound and energy to Brooke and Michael’s unforgettable October wedding at The Lytle Auditorium in Downers Grove. This enchanting event perfectly encapsulated the essence of what a wedding should be: heartfelt, full of love, and of course, with a dance floor that stayed alive from start to finish.

The historic charm of The Lytle Auditorium provided a beautiful backdrop for what was to be a truly memorable experience. Festivities officially began after loved ones gathered to witness Brooke and Michael exchange their vows. Following the lovely ceremony, guests were ushered into a lively cocktail hour, where the upbeat music set a convivial tone and allowed everyone to mingle and enjoy a selection of delightful drinks.

When the time came for everyone to find their seats for dinner, the excitement in the air was palpable. Brooke and Michael made a grand entrance to T.I.’s hit “Bring ’Em Out,” immediately electrifying the room with their infectious joy. This seamlessly led to their cake cutting, enhanced by the sweet melodies of James Taylor’s “How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved by You),” a selection that perfectly captured the sentimental essence of the moment. The couple shared their gratitude with a heartfelt speech, followed by a blessing delivered by Uncle Charlie. This emotional interlude welcomed the communal dining experience, as dinner was served family-style. This setup not only complemented the auditorium’s warm and welcoming atmosphere but also ensured that everyone felt connected and part of something special.

With the evening transitioning from dinner to dance, the spotlight turned to Brooke and Michael for their first dance to the calming and lyrical “Evermore” by Hollow Coves. This tranquil moment was a serene prelude to a night intended for celebration. Brooke and her father showcased a touching father-daughter dance with Heartland’s “I Loved Her First,” while Michael’s dance with his mom to “A Song for Mama” by Boyz II Men added another layer of emotion to the night, leaving barely a dry eye in the room. Once dessert and coffee were served, the stage was set for a night of dancing. DJ Tyler curated a playlist full of wedding classics and the couple’s favorite hits that kept the dance floor alive and kicking well into the night. From Earth, Wind & Fire’s “September” to alternative beats by All American Rejects, Fall Out Boy, and Paramore, every guest found themselves immersed in the rhythm, proving once again why having a skilled wedding DJ is crucial for an unforgettable reception.

As the evening unfolded, it was evident that Brooke and Michael’s wedding was a beloved celebration. Their dance floor mirrored the happiness and exuberance of the occasion, with guests of all ages joining in to show off their moves. The smiles and laughter, captured throughout the night, told a story of unyielding joy and collaboration between two families uniting as one. At Paul Michaels Events, we believe that every wedding should be as unique as the love it celebrates. This evening was no exception, and it was a privilege to be trusted with curating these special moments for Brooke and Michael. The newlyweds’ vision was brought to life with precision and passion, making it an event that not only they but everyone present will cherish for years to come.

As we close the chapter on this beautiful event at The Lytle Auditorium, we extend heartfelt congratulations to the newest Mr. and Mrs. on the start of their journey together. It was an absolute joy to share in this special day and to witness the love that no doubt will guide them through their future together. To our newlyweds, thank you for choosing Paul Michaels Events DJ Company to bring your musical dreams to fruition!

Emily & Dan’s Unforgettable Wedding at Lacuna Lofts in Chicago’s Pilsen Neighborhood

Group of people dancing to music by Paul Michaels Events at Lacuna Lofts

October is typically one of the busiest months of wedding season, and with the season comes some of the most memorable events that we have the pleasure of being a part of. Emily and Dan’s wedding was no exception to this! Held at the vibrant Lacuna Lofts in Pilsen, Paul Michaels Events had the honor of providing exceptional DJ services for this unforgettable occasion. Our wedding experience package, plus ceremony services, uplighting, and a subwoofer for additional audio coverage ensured that everything would be on track to make this the best day ever for our bride and groom.

The wedding ceremony took place on the rooftop of Lacuna Lofts, where guests were treated to breathtaking views of the Chicago skyline. Immediately following, guests were invited to the Magic Street room on the first floor for a delightful cocktail hour. When the time came to transition to the Reverie room for the remainder of the reception, DJ Paul Michaels and Assistant Evan had the party atmosphere perfectly set. Our full room uplighting, glowing warmly in amber hues, accentuated the rustic charm of the venue and created a welcoming and elegant ambiance.

The reception kicked off with some epic introductions. The wedding party entered the room to “I Gotta Feeling” by the Black Eyed Peas, and kicked up the energy in the room. When the bride and groom stepped into the space to “Crazy in Love” by Beyonce and Jay-Z, it was clear that there couldn’t have been a better fitting song for them. From their entrance, Emily and Dan went straight into their cake cutting, and then made a speech thanking all of their loves ones for joining them for such a special occasion.

Once dinner service was completed, inclusive of heartfelt toasts and the “Mission Impossible” game, it was time to ignite the dance floor. Kicking things off were the first dances shared between husband and wife, mother and son, and Emily’s side of the family. Once the dance floor opened for everyone to join in, DJ Paul led the charge, ensuring that every moment of the evening was filled with joy and energy. For every wedding we DJ, we make sure that each dance floor becomes personalized and memorable. For Emily and Dan, that meant including their favorite songs from Green Day, which brought an extra touch of excitement and nostalgia to the celebration. By blending their musical preferences with a variety of other genres, we kept the energy high and the spirits even higher. The dance floor stayed packed as Emily, Dan, and their loved ones danced under the captivating lights.

Thank you to Emily and Dan for choosing us to be a part of your beautiful wedding day. It was an honor to work with you and we appreciate the trust you placed in us to make your special day truly unforgettable. Cheers to the happy couple!

Shannon & Randy’s Heartfelt Wedding at Trademark Events in Woodstock, Illinois

Bride & groom sharing first dance surrounded by loved ones

The most special weddings have a little bit of everything: heartfelt vows, a few surprises, and a dance floor that never quits. This was exactly the case for Shannon and Randy’s wedding, where we had the privilege of providing the soundtrack for both their outdoor ceremony and their reception at Trademark Events.

The celebration began on a private property selected by the couple for their ceremony. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect! A sunny, 65-degree fall day with a warm breeze and the trees just beginning to show their first hints of color – the ideal weather for such a special occasion. The ceremony space was a wide-open field surrounded by beautiful foliage, creating a natural and intimate setting for the couple’s vows. Because it was a remote area with no available power, we brought in a completely battery-powered sound system. Our professional setup included three wireless microphones and two high-end QSC speakers, all powered by a silent battery pack.

Guests were greeted by the host families’ three friendly dogs and ushers who helped everyone find their seats before the ceremony began. As the processional started, the wedding party made their entrance in pairs, taking their places beside Pastor Patrick, who officiated the ceremony. Randy stood at the front, keeping his focus steady until his bride appeared from a lightly wooded path, making a stunning entrance to the aisle.

Throughout the ceremony, Pastor Patrick offered heartfelt words of guidance and encouragement. When it came time for vows, both Shannon and Randy spoke from the heart. Shannon, however, had one more surprise up her sleeve; After reading her vows, she began singing a beautiful rendition of “Bless the Broken Road”, her voice carrying across the open field. It was a moment that stopped everyone in their tracks, especially Randy, who was visibly emotional as he listened to his bride’s heartfelt performance. When the ceremony concluded, and the newlyweds were introduced as Mr. and Mrs. Kennedy, Randy sealed the moment with an unforgettable kiss – one the guests won’t soon forget!

After post-ceremony photos, guests made their way to the reception while DJ Tim and Assistant Logan broke down the outdoor setup and headed to Trademark Events to prepare for the celebration ahead. They worked quickly to get everything in place, ensuring guests arrived to the sound of soft cocktail-hour music that set a relaxed and welcoming tone. Once the wedding party was ready, DJ Tim (who also served as MC for the night) met with the newlyweds to review their timeline and prepare for what was sure to be a show-stopping grand entrance.

The couple sure knew how to make an entrance! Shannon and Randy chose “Sirius” by The Alan Parsons Project (he same song used for the legendary 1990s Chicago Bulls player introductions!) for their wedding party’s arrival. Channeling the energy of the iconic Ray Clay, DJ Tim announced the “Wedding Party Starting Lineup” as each name echoed through the room. Guests cheered and applauded as the newlyweds made their entrance, setting an electric tone for the rest of the night.

Dinner featured a crowd-pleasing Mexican-style taco buffet, giving everyone a chance to fuel up before hitting the dance floor. Once dinner wrapped up, the couple took a moment to thank their guests and families for their love and support, expressing how much it meant to have everyone there celebrating with them.

The newlyweds opened the dance floor with their first dance to “Then” by Brad Paisley. The dance ended, fittingly, with Randy dipping Shannon into another heartfelt kiss that earned cheers from the crowd. Next, Randy shared a tender dance with his mother, Janice, followed by one of the night’s most touching and fun moments: Shannon’s dance with her son, Benji. Halfway through their dance, Shannon surprised everyone by switching into a custom Paul Michaels Events remix that turned the moment into a TikTok-style dance routine, to the delight of all their guests. Not to be outdone, Randy and his groomsmen decided to join the fun later with a playful, impromptu dance to the classic “I’m Too Sexy” by Right Said Fred. The room erupted with laughter and applause as they leaned into the moment with full confidence and plenty of humor.

Once the formalities wrapped up, DJ Tim officially opened the dance floor, and it stayed full all night. He kept the energy high with a perfect blend of crowd favorites and the couple’s must-play songs, smoothly mixing between genres to make sure everyone found a reason to dance. From sing-alongs to spontaneous dance circles, the celebration stayed lively until the very end. The bouquet toss was caught by one of the youngest guests of the night, followed by an unforgettable garter retrieval that had everyone laughing as Randy performed a “magic trick” to reveal the garter in style. By the time the last song played, the room was still buzzing with excitement — the sign of a truly great wedding night.

Shannon and Randy’s wedding day was a perfect blend of heartfelt emotion, fun surprises, and incredible energy. From Shannon’s live serenade at the ceremony to their Chicago-Bulls-style introductions and all the laughter in between, every moment reflected their personalities and the love they share. Paul Michaels Events was honored to be part of such a special celebration. We’re so grateful to have been trusted with this amazing day and wish Shannon and Randy all the happiness in the world as they begin their next chapter together!

Ashley & Jordan’s Serendipitous Wedding at Goose Island Barrel House in Garfield Park, Chicago

Bride and guests dancing to music by the best Chicagoland DJ company, Paul Michaels Events

Every couple deserves a wedding day that feels seamless, joyful, and full of great memories. Unfortunately, Ashley and Jordan’s original DJ had to cancel unexpectedly – just weeks before their big day. With time running short, the venue itself, Goose Island Barrel Warehouse, referred them to Paul Michaels Events. From the moment Paul connected with the couple, it was clear this would be an amazing partnership. They were determined to make their day special, and our team was honored to jump in and help make it happen.

The couple selected our Experience Package and added a subwoofer, which was an excellent fit for this venue’s single-room layout. Goose Island Barrel Warehouse has fantastic acoustics and a cozy yet industrial charm, and this setup ensured every speech, toast, and announcement was crystal clear. The sound filled the space beautifully without overpowering the room or the dance floor. Combined with our basic dance floor lighting, the atmosphere felt warm, vibrant, and perfect for celebrating.

Few Chicago venues combine personality, history, and character like Goose Island Barrel Warehouse. Its blend of rustic wood, exposed barrels, and modern brewery energy makes it a favorite among couples who want something a little different from the traditional ballroom experience. Ashley and Jordan’s venue choice made even more sense once Paul learned more about them. When they met for their planning session, the couple proudly showed off their collection of Goose Island Bourbon County Stout bottles. Ashley’s connection to craft beer runs deep. She worked as a beer consultant at Binny’s Beverage Depot during college, eventually managing another location later on. That shared love of good beer and great company made Goose Island the ideal place for them to celebrate with family and friends.

Before the party kicked into full gear, guests were treated to a private brewery tour during cocktail hour, which made such a fun and unexpected experience for a wedding! It gave everyone a chance to explore the space, learn a little about Goose Island’s history, and of course, enjoy some amazing local brews. This thoughtful touch reflected the couple’s personalities perfectly. It wasn’t just about the ceremony or the reception; it was about creating a memorable experience that brought people together in a place that meant something to them.

Once dinner wrapped up and it was time to hit the dance floor, DJ Paul Michaels knew exactly how to keep this millennial crowd moving. The night’s soundtrack leaned heavily into 2000s throwbacks, mixing pop and hip-hop favorites that had guests singing and dancing right through to the very end. From sing-alongs to full-on dance floor anthems, it was one of those nights where every song seemed to hit just right. The energy stayed high all night long, with friends and family celebrating in true Chicago style.

We’re so glad that we were able to make this happen and make the day for this incredible couple. Thank you so much to Ashley and Jordan for trusting Paul Michaels Events with your big day!

Jenna & Joey’s Unforgettable Wedding at Camelot Banquets in Hickory Hills, Illinois

Group of people with glow sticks on the dance floor

When it comes to unforgettable weddings, few venues capture both elegance and energy like Camelot Banquets in Hickory Hills. We at Paul Michaels Events had the privilege of bringing the soundtrack to Jenna and Joey’s big day, and it’s safe to say this wedding will be remembered for years to come. From heartfelt family moments to a dance floor that just didn’t, the night was filled with love, laughter, and incredible music. We’ve had the honor of working at many beautiful venues across the Chicagoland area, but there was something truly special about this night. Every detail came together flawlessly, and the energy from the couple and their guests created an atmosphere that perfectly matched the couple’s vision.

The evening officially kicked off with cocktail hour, as the ceremony had taken place off-site earlier in the day. Guests were greeted not only by the bride and groom themselves, but also by lively music curated by our team. Camelot Banquets’ elegant ballroom balanced timeless design with the space and flexibility needed for larger celebrations such as this one. The chandeliers sparkled as guests mingled took in the warm and inviting ambiance of the venue. For Jenna and Joey, the space was the ideal backdrop for their celebration.

One of the most exciting parts of any wedding reception is the grand entrance, and Jenna and Joey’s wedding was no exception. The wedding party entered to the upbeat rhythm of the Bee Gees’ “Stayin’ Alive,” instantly filling the ballroom with energy and smiles. Moments later, Jenna and Joey made their own unforgettable debut to Natalie Cole’s “This Will Be (An Everlasting Love).” The joy was contagious; the cheering, applause, and pure excitement of the guests set the tone for everything that followed. Keeping the energy flowing, the couple transitioned directly into their cake cutting while the introduction music continued to play. It was a seamless way to blend tradition with celebration, ensuring that the night maintained a lively pace from the very beginning.

One of the defining features of Jenna and Joey’s wedding was the sense of family woven throughout every moment. After the blessing, guests enjoyed a delicious family-style dinner, which gave everyone the chance to relax, connect, and savor the evening. The toasts were another highlight of the night. The Father of the Bride, the Mother of the Groom, the Best Man, and the Maid of Honor all shared warm and funny stories that had the room alternating between laughter and tears. Jenna also shared her own touching words, dedicating her bouquet to her mom in a heartfelt moment that resonated deeply with everyone in attendance. These speeches were a reminder of why weddings are about more than just two people; they’re about families coming together, stories being shared, and new traditions being created.

The formal dances of the evening created some of the most memorable moments. Jenna and her father shared an emotional dance to Rascal Flatts’ “My Wish,” a song that perfectly captured the love between a father and daughter on her wedding day. Joey and his mother then took the floor for their dance to “Never Alone” by Jim Brickman featuring Lady Antebellum and Hillary Scott, another moving tribute that had guests reflecting on the special bond between parent and child. Finally, Jenna and Joey had their first dance as husband and wife to “Love Like Crazy” by Lee Brice. To make this moment even more magical, the couple incorporated our “Dancing on the Clouds” effect, which created a dreamlike atmosphere as they glided across the floor. In addition, because the couple loved parts of the song but didn’t connect with the second verse, we created a custom edit ahead of the wedding. This ensured that their first dance not only looked amazing but also flowed exactly the way they envisioned.

If you ask any wedding DJ what they love most about their work, chances are the answer is the dance floor. For Jenna and Joey’s wedding, once the dance floor opened, it stayed full until the very last song. By the time the final song of the night rolled around, there was no better choice than Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin’.” Everyone gathered on the dance floor to sing along, arms around each other, voices raised in celebration. It was the perfect ending to an unforgettable wedding.

For Jenna and Joey, their wedding was about joy, family, and nonstop celebration. Being part of this special day was truly an honor for us. Congratulations to our lovely couple, and thank you for choosing us to help bring your vision to life!

Sam & Kevin’s Charming Wedding at Forbidden Root Brewery in Chicago’s West Town Neighborhood

Bride and groom on the dance floor with friends.

When it comes to planning a wedding in Chicago, couples face more decisions than they can count. From venues and menus to music and décor, every detail matters. For Sam and Kevin, their journey to the altar came with an unexpected twist: their original venue permanently closed before their big day. Suddenly, they had to start the planning process from scratch. Luckily, the story has a happy ending. Their search led them to Forbidden Root Brewery, a neighborhood favorite known for its inventive food and craft beer. Not only was the brewery conveniently close to their home, but the staff welcomed them with open arms and worked tirelessly to help create their perfect day. For our team at Paul Michaels Events DJ Company, it was also our first time providing wedding DJ services at Forbidden Root Brewery – an experience we’ll never forget!

DJ Paul Michaels and Assistant Evan had the honor of helping Sam and Kevin bring their vision to life. Together, they worked to ensure that every moment of the night was filled with unforgettable memories, from the heartfelt ceremony to the high-energy dance floor. This wedding also carried extra meaning for our team. Sam has known DJ Paul Michaels for many years through a mutual friend. When she and Kevin reached out to Paul Michaels Events DJ Company to discuss their plans, it felt less like a client inquiry and more like a chance to help a friend celebrate one of the most important milestones of her life. That connection set the tone for the entire planning process.

Forbidden Root Brewery isn’t your typical wedding venue, which made it a unique and memorable space for Sam and Kevin’s vows. Guests mostly remained at their tables, with a few rows of chairs arranged in front of the altar area. That setup created a relaxed and intimate atmosphere, perfect for a couple who wanted their wedding to feel warm and personal. The ceremony was officiated by the couple’s friend, Alex, whose words captured the joy and sincerity of Sam and Kevin’s relationship. Following their “I Do’s”, it was time for cocktail hour. And where better to enjoy a post-wedding drink than a brewery? Forbidden Root is known throughout Chicago for its creative craft beers, and guests were thrilled to sample them while mingling and sharing their excitement for the night ahead.

After a very delicious buffet dinner, family and friends shared toasts that were heartfelt and emotional, yet also filled with laughter. These speeches reminded everyone why weddings are so special: they’re not just about celebrating two people in love, but about honoring the families and communities that surround them. With dinner and toasts complete, it was time to turn up the energy. DJ Paul took over and immediately had the dance floor packed. From the first song to the last, the music kept guests moving, singing, and celebrating without pause. Assistant Evan worked behind the scenes to ensure everything ran smoothly, from equipment checks to coordinating with the venue staff. Having an experienced support team is part of how we’re able to deliver a stress-free experience for our couples. By the time the final song played, it was clear that this wasn’t just a wedding reception; it was a full-blown celebration! Guests weren’t ready for the night to end, which is always the best sign of a successful party.

Sam and Kevin’s wedding is a perfect example of why the right DJ can transform a reception. Music isn’t just background noise – it sets the tone, creates energy, and ensures that the night flows effortlessly from one moment to the next. To our lovely couple, thank you for trusting Paul Michaels Events DJ Company to be part of your wedding day. It was an honor to celebrate with you at Forbidden Root Brewery, and we’re so glad we could help create an unforgettable night filled with love, laughter, and nonstop dancing. We wish you a lifetime of happiness as you start this next chapter together!

When it comes to tying the knot in style, choosing the right setting and the perfect entertainment can transform a special day into an unforgettable celebration. Paul Michaels Events had the privilege of being part of Korey and Dakota’s wedding reception at the exquisite Morgan Arts Complex. With its unique ambiance and artistic flair, the venue provided the perfect backdrop for a day filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.

Korey and Dakota chose our Experience Package, which ensured a seamless flow for the entire evening. From professional sound and lighting to a curated music selection, every detail was tailored to reflect their personalities and create a stress-free, fun-filled celebration. Our lovely couple chose to keep things intimate, inviting just 60 of their closest friends and family. The smaller guest list fostered a warm, personal atmosphere where everyone could truly connect and share in the couple’s joy. From the moment guests arrived, it was clear that this was going to be a meaningful, unforgettable night.

The evening began with a cocktail hour, giving guests time to mingle and enjoy the beautiful space. Soon after, we moved into the reception with a grand re-introduction of the newlyweds, Korey and Dakota, followed by heartfelt speeches from the bride’s father and sister. Their words brought laughter, a few tears, and a deeply personal touch to the evening.

Following a delicious dinner from Harry Caray’s catering, it was time to head to the dance floor for our favorite part of the evening. To kick off dancing, we began with an Anniversary Dance, which honored the enduring marriages of Korey’s parents and grandparents. It was a sweet and emotional way to celebrate love across generations and set the tone for the night ahead. From there, the dance floor came alive. Korey, Dakota, and their guests danced the night away to an eclectic mix of music, with a strong focus on country favorites that perfectly suited the couple’s style. The energy was high, the dance floor stayed packed, and the joy in the room was undeniable.

We’re so grateful to Korey and Dakota for allowing us to be a part of such an important chapter in their lives. Their wedding was filled with genuine moments, heartfelt connections, and so much love – and we’re honored to have helped make it all happen! Thank you to Korey and Dakota for trusting us with your special day!
