When it comes to unforgettable weddings, few venues capture both elegance and energy like Camelot Banquets in Hickory Hills. We at Paul Michaels Events had the privilege of bringing the soundtrack to Jenna and Joey’s big day, and it’s safe to say this wedding will be remembered for years to come. From heartfelt family moments to a dance floor that just didn’t, the night was filled with love, laughter, and incredible music. We’ve had the honor of working at many beautiful venues across the Chicagoland area, but there was something truly special about this night. Every detail came together flawlessly, and the energy from the couple and their guests created an atmosphere that perfectly matched the couple’s vision.

The evening officially kicked off with cocktail hour, as the ceremony had taken place off-site earlier in the day. Guests were greeted not only by the bride and groom themselves, but also by lively music curated by our team. Camelot Banquets’ elegant ballroom balanced timeless design with the space and flexibility needed for larger celebrations such as this one. The chandeliers sparkled as guests mingled took in the warm and inviting ambiance of the venue. For Jenna and Joey, the space was the ideal backdrop for their celebration.

One of the most exciting parts of any wedding reception is the grand entrance, and Jenna and Joey’s wedding was no exception. The wedding party entered to the upbeat rhythm of the Bee Gees’ “Stayin’ Alive,” instantly filling the ballroom with energy and smiles. Moments later, Jenna and Joey made their own unforgettable debut to Natalie Cole’s “This Will Be (An Everlasting Love).” The joy was contagious; the cheering, applause, and pure excitement of the guests set the tone for everything that followed. Keeping the energy flowing, the couple transitioned directly into their cake cutting while the introduction music continued to play. It was a seamless way to blend tradition with celebration, ensuring that the night maintained a lively pace from the very beginning.

One of the defining features of Jenna and Joey’s wedding was the sense of family woven throughout every moment. After the blessing, guests enjoyed a delicious family-style dinner, which gave everyone the chance to relax, connect, and savor the evening. The toasts were another highlight of the night. The Father of the Bride, the Mother of the Groom, the Best Man, and the Maid of Honor all shared warm and funny stories that had the room alternating between laughter and tears. Jenna also shared her own touching words, dedicating her bouquet to her mom in a heartfelt moment that resonated deeply with everyone in attendance. These speeches were a reminder of why weddings are about more than just two people; they’re about families coming together, stories being shared, and new traditions being created.

The formal dances of the evening created some of the most memorable moments. Jenna and her father shared an emotional dance to Rascal Flatts’ “My Wish,” a song that perfectly captured the love between a father and daughter on her wedding day. Joey and his mother then took the floor for their dance to “Never Alone” by Jim Brickman featuring Lady Antebellum and Hillary Scott, another moving tribute that had guests reflecting on the special bond between parent and child. Finally, Jenna and Joey had their first dance as husband and wife to “Love Like Crazy” by Lee Brice. To make this moment even more magical, the couple incorporated our “Dancing on the Clouds” effect, which created a dreamlike atmosphere as they glided across the floor. In addition, because the couple loved parts of the song but didn’t connect with the second verse, we created a custom edit ahead of the wedding. This ensured that their first dance not only looked amazing but also flowed exactly the way they envisioned.

If you ask any wedding DJ what they love most about their work, chances are the answer is the dance floor. For Jenna and Joey’s wedding, once the dance floor opened, it stayed full until the very last song. By the time the final song of the night rolled around, there was no better choice than Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin’.” Everyone gathered on the dance floor to sing along, arms around each other, voices raised in celebration. It was the perfect ending to an unforgettable wedding.

For Jenna and Joey, their wedding was about joy, family, and nonstop celebration. Being part of this special day was truly an honor for us. Congratulations to our lovely couple, and thank you for choosing us to help bring your vision to life!
