Recently, Paul Michaels Events had the honor of providing entertainment for Cloudinary’s networking event, hosted on Chicago Cruise Lines’ Fort Dearborn vessel along the Chicago River. Produced by the talented team at Prospect Events Productions, this event brought together great people, spectacular views, and a flawless soundtrack. With DJ Matt from behind the booth, the evening struck the perfect balance between professional networking and lively celebration.
For Cloudinary’s networking event, the Fort Dearborn provided exactly the right backdrop. The Chicago River carried the boat past historic architecture, lit-up skyscrapers, and iconic city landmarks. It was a setting that made an immediate impression.
DJ Matt brought his signature expertise in reading the room and adjusting music to fit each moment. Early in the evening, the playlist leaned into upbeat yet conversation-friendly tracks, encouraging networking while setting a lively tone. As the evening progressed, the energy naturally shifted — and so did the music. By the time the boat glided past the glittering skyline, guests were smiling, dancing, and enjoying a full celebration.
What makes a networking event stand out? For Cloudinary’s team and their guests, it was the combination of thoughtful planning, exceptional hospitality, and entertainment that elevated the evening. Guests were able to enjoy cocktails on the deck, connect with peers, and then transition naturally into dancing later in the evening. It was professional and polished, but also fun – exactly what a corporate networking event should be.
