This last action packed weekend I was able to work with two amazing couples, one being Danielle and Christian, for whom I was able to be the DJ and Entertainer for their Wedding at the Dunham Woods Riding Club. This was my first time out at this venue (or any venue in Wayne, IL for that matter). Because of this, I was happy to do a site walk at with Danielle, Christian, and their event coordinator from the venue ahead of time. This was a quick meeting in person to walk around the venue, help finalize some layout decisions with Danielle and Christian, and to confirm that they would have everything I needed to help make the perfect wedding for my clients! Getting to know Danielle and Christian throughout the wedding planning process was really great. I thought it was hilarious that they actually went to high school together at Wheaton Academy but didn’t chat with each other at all throughout high school. It wasn’t until years later when Christian messaged Danielle on facebook when they started chatting and actually hit it off. I guess facebook can be the catalyst of a relationship!
We had a beautiful outdoor ceremony (given, it was a little bit hot/humid, but that is to be expected in the summer) and then moved inside for the cocktail hour and reception. We partied until the very last minute. We worked with Asharae and Tim from Grain and Compass (based out of North Carolina) who did an awesome job capturing the day/night in photo and video!
