When it comes to celebrating life’s most cherished milestones, there’s nothing quite like the energy and love that fills the room at a wedding. Recently, Paul Michaels Events had the joy and privilege of helping Gloria and Justin celebrate their marriage with a stunning wedding at River Roast, located in Chicago’s River North neighborhood.
The day began with a beautiful ceremony at Assumption Catholic Church, also located in River North. This historic church set a romantic and meaningful tone as Gloria and Justin exchanged vows in front of their closest friends and family. From there, guests made their way to River Roast to continue the celebration, beginning with an elegant cocktail hour on the venue’s outdoor patio facing the Chicago River. The weather was absolutely perfect; a light breeze floated through the patio, adding to the effortless charm and sophistication of the moment.
As the sun began to set, the energy shifted and the celebration kicked into full gear. DJ Paul Michaels and DJ Abby were on site to bring the entertainment to life, with DJ Paul serving as emcee for the evening and DJ Abby behind the decks. The couple selected our Elite Package for their reception, which included our all-white DJ setup, full-room uplighting set to a warm candlelight tone, and enhanced audio equipment to ensure both style and substance throughout the night. The candlelight-colored uplighting complemented the ambiance of River Roast beautifully, casting a romantic glow across the space and elevating the entire experience.
The reception began with high-energy introductions of the family and wedding party, which set the tone for a night of celebration. As the music picked up, it quickly became clear that Gloria and Justin – and their guests – were ready to dance. With a shared love for commercial house and EDM, the couple’s playlist was upbeat, fresh, and incredibly fun. Their taste in music brought a unique energy to the dance floor and kept the party going late into the night.
Being chosen to be a part of Gloria and Justin’s big day was an incredible honor for our team.
