Hannah and Harry made a great choice in venue to host their wedding, at the Swissotel in Downtown Chicago. Paul Michaels Events provided music and sound for the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. During cocktail hour when we were playing slow jazz music, you could feel the energy coming from the guests who were already starting to dance. DJ Shannon was ready to get the party started for Hannah and Harry and their guests! Hannah and Harry shared their first dance as husband and wife, and then a special combined father/daughter, mother/son dance to “First Man” by Camila Cabello which was absolutely beautiful. Immediately following, DJ Shannon opened the dance floor with a classic song, “September” by Earth, Wind, and Fire. The guests immediately packed the dance floor and DJ Shannon kept it that way all night long!
For this wedding, we helped orchestrate the Horah, which is a Jewish tradition where the bride and groom are lifted in chairs, which was an absolute blast! Hannah and Harry wanted their reception to stay upbeat the entire time specifically so that at the end of the night people had to rest their feet, and DJ Shannon delivered on that request!
DJ Shannon had a great time working with the photographers from Henington Studios who were fantastic partners to work side by side with! As the night was winding down the newlyweds surprised the guests with a late night snack from Portillo’s!
We ended the night on a very special request from Hannah and Harry, who wanted to end the night to a Motown Classic “Let’s Stay Together” by Al Green. Their friends and family joined them on the dance floor to share this special moment with the couple.
Hannah and Harry – we had a blast celebrating with you, thank you for trusting us with your big day!
