Sara and Tim’s wedding at Knights of Columbus was an intimate and heartwarming celebration that left everyone with unforgettable memories. Friends and family gathered from near and far to witness the union of Sara and Tim, creating a warm and supportive environment. From the moment guests arrived, it was clear that this wedding would be a beautiful blend of love, tradition, and celebration. For their special day, the couple chose Paul Michaels Events’ wedding base package to provide exceptional sound and music services for both their cocktail hour and reception, ensuring every moment was perfectly orchestrated.
The day began with a beautiful ceremony at Saint Hyacinth Catholic Church, the same church where Tim’s parents got married, adding a special layer of nostalgia and tradition to the day. The historic church, with its stunning architecture and serene ambiance, provided a picturesque setting for Sara and Tim to exchange their vows. As they stood at the altar, surrounded by loved ones, the couple’s love story came full circle in a place steeped in family history. The ceremony was filled with heartfelt moments, from the exchange of vows to the joyous cheers as they were pronounced husband and wife. After the ceremony, guests made their way to the Knights of Columbus hall, eager to continue the celebrations.
The bridal party kicked off the festivities with a grand entrance to the lively beats of “Danza Kuduro,” setting an energetic tone for the evening. The upbeat music immediately got everyone in the mood to celebrate, and the excitement in the room was palpable. Sara and Tim followed with their own entrance to the iconic “Eye of the Tiger,” wowing everyone with their contagious energy and enthusiasm. Their entrance was a true reflection of their fun-loving personalities and set the stage for an unforgettable night. The couple’s dynamic entry was met with cheers and applause, signaling the start of an evening filled with joy and excitement. Their infectious energy spread throughout the room, ensuring that everyone was ready to celebrate.
One of the standout moments of the evening was Sara and Tim’s enchanting first dance to “Earth Angel” by The Penguins. DJ Shannon from Paul Michaels Events created a mesmerizing “Dancing on the Clouds” effect, adding a beautiful and dreamy atmosphere to the dance floor. It was a magical sight that captivated all the guests, as the couple swayed gracefully to the romantic tune. This dreamy moment was one that guests would talk about long after the wedding. The soft, ethereal cloud effect made the first dance feel like a scene from a fairy tale, adding a touch of enchantment to the evening.
Following a delicious dinner from Cheese Shop ‘N’ Deli, as well as some heartfelt speeches and toasts, the bride shared a special moment with her father, Randy, and her stepfather, Jerry. They danced to “How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You)” by James Taylor, splitting the dance to honor both men in her life. The mother-son dance was equally touching, with Tim and his mother dancing to “Unforgettable” by Natalie Cole with Nat King Cole. These dances brought tears to many eyes and highlighted the deep familial bonds present that night. The shared dances were a testament to the love and support that surrounded Sara and Tim, creating beautiful memories for everyone involved.
Throughout the night, DJ Shannon kept the energy high by skillfully gauging the crowd’s musical tastes and taking song requests from guests as well as the bride and groom. The music selection included a diverse mix of country, ’80s rock, old school classics such as Frank Sinatra and The Beatles, adult contemporary, and some music from the ’50s and ’70s. The crowd responded best to some country throwbacks, which kept the dance floor alive and buzzing with energy. Some other hits played included classics like “YMCA,” “Cha Cha Slide,” and even some classic country dance tunes. DJ Shannon’s ability to read the crowd and keep the energy high ensured that everyone had a fantastic time. The night was filled with joy, laughter, and nonstop dancing.
Adding to the fun were the traditional bouquet and garter tosses. The bouquet toss was done to “Girls Just Want to Have Fun” by Cyndi Lauper, which got all the single ladies on their feet and eager to catch the bouquet. The garter retrieval and toss brought laughter and cheer, set to the energetic tune of “Sharp Dressed Man” by ZZ Top. These lighthearted moments added an extra layer of fun to the evening, keeping the celebration lively and engaging for all.
As the night drew to a close, the second-to-last song of the evening, “Closing Time” by Semisonic, signaled that the celebration was winding down, yet kept the energy high. The final song, “Last Dance” by Donna Summer, was a perfect end to a magical night, bringing everyone together on the dance floor one last time to celebrate Sara and Tim’s love.
