As anyone planning a wedding or working in the wedding industry knows, October is one of the busiest months during wedding season. Paul Michaels Events was no exception to this, as we had the privilege of providing DJ services to some of the most amazing weddings this month. We ended the month on a great note with Jasmine and Anthony’s wedding. This lovely couple are near and dear to our hearts, as they’re really good friends of both DJ Paul Michaels and Assistant Jamie. For this wedding, we acted as a traveling wedding DJ and traveled outside of the Chicago area all the way to the East Coast. Jasmine and Anthony picked the perfect venue – University and Whist Club in Wilmington, Delaware – for their graceful and elegant occasion. Their wedding day was made complete with our wedding base package, wedding ceremony services, and additional uplighting.

For those unfamiliar with Delaware’s atmosphere, the weather is absolutely gorgeous during October. Jasmine and Anthony couldn’t have picked a better day to tie the knot, much less have an outdoor ceremony. While DJ Paul Michaels made sure everything went according to plan, Assistant Jamie put the “honor” in “maid of honor” for our lovely bride. Even if we didn’t know them personally, Jasmine and Anthony’s vows to each other would’ve brought tears to our eyes. It was such a beautiful ceremony, and it was made even better for Jasmine and Anthony by being surrounded by their loved ones.

Following the ceremony, everyone headed inside for the cocktail hour. After some small bites and celebratory drinks, it was time to move into the reception hall for the remainder of the evening. The wedding party and newlyweds made their introductions to a room full of love and cheers. Jasmine and Anthony shared their first dance, then they each shared a traditional dance with each of their parents. Both Jasmine’s parents and Anthony’s parents gave their own speeches to the couple, then Jasmine and Anthony took a few minutes to welcome everyone and give thanks for being with them.

The venue provided a delicious dinner for everyone while guests enjoyed listening to some more speeches. After this, Jasmine and Anthony did their cake cutting and served dessert. Finally, it came time for our favorite part of the evening: the dancing! Everyone hit the dance floor while DJ Paul laid out some of the best tunes. He played everything from Latin American music and Italian music to Bollywood songs and some of everyone’s favorite Top 40 hits. He also hosted the Bouquet Toss and the Shoe Game, which everyone had a great time with. When it came time for the reception to come to an end, he played “Lights Down Low” so everyone could participate in one last dance. We wish the night could’ve gone on longer, but overall, it was such an incredible day.

Congratulations once again to Jasmine and Anthony! Thank you for being such wonderful people and for including Paul Michaels Events for your special day. We’re happy to act as a traveling wedding DJ anytime – especially for these two!
