As some may know, October tends to be one of the busiest months during wedding season – and we’re no exception to that! Continuing on with the busy month, Paul Michaels Events took a journey to provide wedding DJ Services in Yorkville, Illinois. For this occasion, we provided microphones and music for their ceremony. We also provided services from our wedding base package and an awesome photo booth for their reception.
Normally, when you think of October in Chicago, you imagine that the weather is a bit too chilly to stay outside for too long. Yet, October 7th turned out to be a perfect day for Linda and Eric to get married. The weather was just warm enough to hold a outdoor ceremony, which was short and sweet so the reception could kick off right away. It did end up becoming colder outside as the evening went on, but that worked out perfectly for one of their sweet treats at the end.
The reception started with a lovely cocktail hour outdoors, with some light rock music playing in the background. The couple and their bridal party then did their introduction to the Chicago Bulls theme song, which got the crowd excited for the evening. Everyone enjoyed a delicious buffet meal, then Linda and Eric cut their cake and shared a beautiful first dance. Following this, DJ Shannon opened up the dance floor with some classic wedding songs, including some country and pop hits. He also invited guests on the dance floor to take part in the Anniversary Dance. Instead of a bouquet or garter toss, Linda and Eric invited all the children on the dance floor to have a “Children’s Dance”. Everybody loved seeing the little ones get out there with the bride and groom!
After the dances, a s’mores pit opened up outside for guests to enjoy. They also offered some pizza squares and meatballs as part of their late night snack. All the delicious food kept guests fueled so they could party all night long!
