Goodbye August, hello September. They say that wearing white after Labor Day is a fashion faux pas, but September 10th was a perfect day to break tradition. Tyler and Cecelia (hereby known as “Cece”) had a wedding to remember. They held their ceremony and reception at one of their favorite restaurants in the city, The Publican. The only way to make their venue better was by throwing in a Chicago wedding DJ company – which we were more than to oblige. From all the DJ services we offer, our wedding base package was exactly what this reception needed.

The West Loop always thrives with the best energy and the best food, so it makes sense to have one of the best weddings in this part of town. Stepping into the restaurant, you could recognize The Publican’s interior, but it also carried some personal touches to make it unique to Cece and Tyler. The couple’s ceremony was made all the more special with Tyler’s dad acting as the officiant. As Cece walked down the aisle with her own father, all eyes were on here – especially Tyler’s. The bride and groom exchanged their own personal vows to each other, which hardly left a dry eye in the room. At last, the couple exchanged their “I Do’s” and a kiss, going from fiancé and fiancée to husband and wife. They made their way back down the aisle together, then it was time to head outside for cocktail hour.

Guests mingled on the patio while the room flipped from ceremony to reception. Coming back inside, it was almost like stepping into the restaurant for a typical night out, with the added allure of having the space reserved. Though their were no official bridesmaids and groomsmen, our couple chose the best people to give some celebratory toasts. Both Cece’s sister and Tyler’s two best friends delivered speeches that perfectly encompassed their love for the newlyweds.

Following dinner, it was time to get the party started on the dance floor! DJ Paul kept the energy high by playing hits from Yung Gravy, Lizzo, Lil Nas X, ABBA, and Cascada. You could tell by the look on everyone’s faces that they’ve never had a better dance floor experience. It was also such a joy watching Cece and Tyler dance the night away with their favorite people. Almost too soon, it came time to place the last song of the evening. To close everything off, the floor shared one last dance to The Parting Glass by The High Kings.

To Cece and Tyler, we thank you for choosing Paul Michaels Events to be a part of your wedding day. We wish you many years of happiness! If you’re still on the hunt for a Chicago wedding DJ company, schedule a consultation with us to see how we can be the perfect fit for you.
