As the air gets cooler, the weddings follow the trend. For the last weekend in September, Paul Michaels Events took a trip to The Union in Rockford, Illinois. This venue hosted Caden and Dakota’s wedding reception, which was one of the most lit (both literally and figuratively speaking) weddings we’ve seen in 2022! Our DJ services took it to the next level by including services from our wedding base package.
The night began with a grand entrance by the whole bridal party, parading in the room to “24k Magic” by Bruno Mars. The bride and groom waltz in right behind them to “Crazy in Love” by Beyoncé and Jay-Z. GreenFire provided an amazing dinner buffet for everyone, which guests enjoyed while listening to speeches from the Best Man and the Maid of Honor. We laughed, we cried… and then we danced!
For their first dance, as well as for their dances with their parents, Caden and Dakota had a live band perform their songs. One of the songs was written by Caden himself! It was such a unique and personal element that help set the tone for the rest of the evening. After the first dances, DJ Brian followed up with all the best pop, indie, and R&B hits. It was clear that this crowd came ready to dance, as there was barely any room on the dance floor that night! At the end of the night, the dance floor cleared so the couple could have an intimate last dance. Their exit was highlighted by a sparkler send off. It was the perfect ending to such a radiant day!
Caden and Dakota were an absolute pleasure to work with, and we can’t thank them enough for choosing us for their big day! Paul Michaels Events wishes them a marriage full of beautiful memories, just like the one we were fortunate enough to be a part of.
