With both the season of spring and the season of weddings in full swing, we had the pleasure of traveling to Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, on May 24th to celebrate Jess and Jason’s wedding. The Riverstone Wedding/Event Center, with its rustic charm and scenic surroundings, provided the ideal setting for their special day.
From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this wedding was going to be unforgettable. The Riverstone Wedding/Event Center holds an incredible amount of charm and offers picturesque views and elegant decor, which perfectly matched the couple’s vision for their big day. Surrounded by their closest family and friends, and the natural beauty of Wisconsin, the atmosphere was nothing short of magical. This date was exceptionally special as this was Jess & Jason’s 5th anniversary of being together!
The day began with a touching ceremony. Under the lush greenery of Fort Atkinson, Jess and Jason exchanged vows, promising a lifetime of love and commitment. The heartfelt ceremony set the tone for the day, with not a dry eye in sight. Afterwards, guests enjoyed a delightful cocktail hour, indulging in delicious hors d’oeuvres and soaking up the joyous ambiance.
As the evening approached, anticipation grew for the reception. Guests gathered in the beautifully decorated event center, eagerly awaiting the newlyweds. Jess and Jason’s grand entrance was met with cheers and a shower of confetti, adding to the excitement of the moment. Their first dance as husband and wife, set to “From the Ground Up” by Dan + Shay, was a beautiful display of their love and joy, captivating everyone present.
Before opening the dance floor to the entire room, Jess and Jason made sure to share some special dances with their parents. First was Jason and his mother, who shared a heartfelt dance to, “Her Little Man” by Jami Grooms. Following their dance, Jess shared a beautiful dance with her father to “Hija Mia” by Abraham Velazquez, then shared an equally beautiful moment with her mother by having a mother daughter dance to “The Woman You Are” by Jessia. All three dances radiated love and joy, and they were the perfect way to get the dance floor warmed up for the rest of the evening.
As guests were invited to join the couple on the dance floor, DJ Tyler made sure to keep the energy high. From your middle school favorites to classic hits, genres including country, EDM, rap, alternative, and pop/punk, the wide variety of music gave everyone something to move and groove to. The carefully curated playlist and DJ Tyler’s skills kept guests on their feet and created an electric atmosphere that lasted all night long. The dance floor also incorporated an old Mexican tradition, where Jason was invited to the middle of the dance floor and the couple’s families lifted him in the air.
The evening came to a farewell as DJ Tyler played “First Date” by blink-182 for guests to share one last dance to. As the festivities drew to a close, Jess and Jason bid farewell to their guests, who showered them with love and well-wishes for their future together.
Jess and Jason’s wedding was a true celebration of love, joy, and togetherness. It was an honor to be a part of their special day, and we at Paul Michaels Events wish them a lifetime of happiness and adventure ahead. Cheers to the happy couple!
