Recently, DJ Paul Michaels and Jamie had the pleasure of traveling to beautiful Door County, Wisconsin, to celebrate Sarah and Will’s wedding at the stunning Northern Haus venue in Sister Bay, WI. This destination wedding was special for us, as Sarah and Will came to us through a referral from a past couple who had an unforgettable experience with Paul Michaels Events DJ Company. From the beginning, Sarah and Will knew they wanted a heartfelt celebration with their family and friends, and they trusted us to help make their dream wedding come true. The Northern Haus venue, with its rustic elegance and serene surroundings, provided the perfect backdrop for their special day.

The festivities began with an outdoor ceremony in the picturesque setting of the Forest Retreat at the venue. To ensure every word and note was perfectly heard, we used an all-battery-powered DJ system. This setup allowed us to provide top-notch sound quality without any logistical constraints, making sure Sarah and Will’s vows were heard clearly by all their guests amidst the natural beauty of the venue. Following their joyous ceremony, guests enjoyed a cocktail hour on the outdoor covered patio, savoring delicious hors d’oeuvres and soaking in the joyous atmosphere.

For the reception, DJ Paul Michaels used our all-white DJ system and speakers to seamlessly blend with the elegant, all-white decor of the beautiful Northern Haus venue. The setup was not only visually stunning but also ensured exceptional sound quality for the evening’s entertainment. To elevate the atmosphere, we provided our Elite package, which included full-room wireless uplighting. This feature truly brought the room to life, especially when the dance floor started heating up. The vibrant and colorful uplighting played a crucial role in setting the mood and enhancing the overall experience for everyone in attendance.

The evening featured some memorable highlights, starting with Sarah and Will’s first dance to “From The Ground Up” by Dan + Shay. Dinner was served buffet-style, followed by touching dances, including a father-daughter dance to a custom mix, a mother-son dance to “My Wish” by Rascal Flatts, and a mother-daughter dance to “When She Loved Me” by Sarah McLachlan. Other special moments included an anniversary dance for Sarah’s grandparents, a bouquet toss to “Man! I Feel Like A Woman!” by Shania Twain, and a private last dance to “Stone” by Whiskey Myers.

Sarah and Will had a variety of fun and interesting music requests, and DJ Paul Michaels was more than happy to oblige. From classic hits to modern favorites, the eclectic mix of music kept the dance floor packed until the very last song. Will is a huge fan of early 2000s and 1990s country music but also enjoys some throwback pop tunes, while Sarah loves a mix of pop, country, throwbacks, and recently more pop-folk artists like Noah Kahan, Hozier, and Zach Bryan. The energetic and joyous atmosphere resonated with all the guests, creating a night to remember.

By the end of the night, we received numerous compliments from Sarah and Will, as well as their family and friends. To receive such a heartfelt and enthusiastic response is and will is always the best reward for our efforts. Their appreciation and joy made the event even more special for us. A special mention goes to Jamie, who assisted in ensuring everything ran smoothly throughout the event. Together, we made sure every detail was perfect, and the feedback from Sarah and Will’s guests was overwhelmingly positive.

We are incredibly grateful to Sarah and Will for entrusting Paul Michaels Events DJ Company with their big day. It was an honor to be part of such a special occasion and to help create memories that will last a lifetime. Their wedding was a true celebration of love, joy, and togetherness, and we were thrilled to contribute to their unforgettable experience.

Thank you, Sarah and Will, for allowing us to be part of your special day. We wish you a lifetime of happiness and adventure together. Cheers to the happy couple!
