Our relationship with Jess and Jimmy’s family goes way back. Just over a year ago, DJ Paul Michaels had the honor of DJing Jimmy’s brother’s wedding at the picturesque Chicago Botanic Garden. So, when Jess and Jimmy reached out to us, we knew this wasn’t just another event—it was a cherished continuation of a family tradition. Being invited to once again be part of such a special day was both an honor and a privilege for the entire Paul Michaels Events team.
The day began with a heartfelt ceremony at Saint Clement Parish, one of Chicago’s most iconic and historic churches. The grand architecture and rich history of the parish provided a breathtaking backdrop as Jess and Jimmy exchanged their vows. Friends and family gathered in this beautiful setting, their hearts filled with love and anticipation for the day ahead. The ceremony was a perfect blend of tradition and personal touches, setting the tone for the evening of celebration that was to follow.
Upon arriving at the Union League Club, guests were immediately enveloped in the venue’s elegant and historic ambiance. The reception took place in the Lincoln Ballroom, a stunning space that was transformed into a magical setting with the help of full-room uplighting provided by Paul Michaels Events DJ Company as part of our Elite Wedding package. The photobooth was in constant use throughout the evening, with laughter and smiles filling the air as guests took their turns in front of the camera. As they enjoyed their meal, the room buzzed with conversation and anticipation for the night ahead. After dinner, the formalities began, including heartfelt speeches that brought both tears and laughter, and a beautiful first dance that captured the love and connection between Jess and Jimmy. The couple’s dance was a moment of pure magic, as they moved gracefully across the dance floor, surrounded by the love and support of their friends and family.
Once the formalities concluded, it was time to get the party started. The magical evening concluded with one last song, which was “Piano Man” by Billy Joel. Everyone sang along and swayed in time to the classic hit, and it truly was the perfect ending to a perfect day.
