In this day and age of Internet dating and apps galore, it’s almost a rarity for two people to find each other without using their phones. Luckily, Sarah and Ryan were part of the uncommon crowd. After meeting through a mutual friend and celebrating the river dyeing for St. Patrick’s Day, these two knew they’d found a life partner in the other. Nearly three years after the fact, they celebrated the happiest day of their lives. As the most trusted wedding DJ in Chicago, we had the privilege of helping their happy day come to life through the power of awesome music. As part of our DJ services, we provided our wedding ceremony services and our wedding elite package for their reception.

The day lead us to JW Marriott Chicago, located in The Loop just a couple blocks away from where Sarah and Ryan first met. As we stepped into the Burnham Ballroom, it was easy to see why they chose this venue for this momentous occasion. With its tall ceilings and elegant chandeliers (accented by our uplighting and floral decor from Flowers Just For You), the ballroom was a perfect reflection of Sarah and Ryan’s upscale taste. After a short and sweet ceremony, the bride and groom exchanged “I Do’s” and walked back down the aisle, now husband and wife.

Following the ceremony came a celebratory cocktail hour while staff did a room flip. Guests mingled, laughed, drank, and talked amongst themselves about how much they adore Sarah and Ryan. Then came time to head back into the ballroom for the remainder of the reception.

As guests found their seats, we could hear murmurs of anticipation for the official introductions. Shortly after, the bridal party and newlyweds made their grand entrances. Sarah and Ryan then got the room buzzing as they participated in the “Photo Rush” game. “Countdown” by Beyoncé blasted as they ran from table to table in pursuit of getting a photo with everyone in the room. After their mission was complete, they cut their cake and made a speech thanking everyone for being there. The venue served a delicious dinner as toasts were given in honor of Sarah and Ryan. They each shared a heartwarming dance with each of their parents, then had their first dance as husband and wife before opening the dance floor to everyone.

DJ Paul kicked things off by opening the dance floor to “I Knew I Loved You” by Savage Garden. After this sweet song and some slow dancing, it was time to get the party started. DJ Paul made sure to play all of the couple’s favorites, such as some popular Top 40 hits, 90s alternative, and the best of the 70s, 80s, and 90s. He also made sure to play “Wannabe” by The Spice Girls as a tribute to Sarah’s bridesmaids. DJ Paul made sure to keep things moving in the right direction by reading the crowd and going with the music they were most in the mood to dance to. For the last dance of the evening, everyone swayed to “From Now On” by Zac Brown Band. It was the perfect ending to such a special day.

Congratulations to Sarah and Ryan – we wish them all the happiness in the world! We thank them for choosing and trusting us for their big day (exactly why we’re the most trusted wedding DJ in Chicago!).
